Parishioner, friend, local light, mother; Gloria died early on Monday 2 February 2026, age 95.

Gloria was a much-loved, generous, strong-minded, and resilient lady whose joyful love of singing was a gift to all who knew her. Her vibrant presence will be deeply missed.

A funeral to celebrate Gloria’s life will be held at St. Columba Anglican Church, 92 Surrey Cres, Grey Lynn, on Tuesday 10 February 2026 at 10am, and she will be interred in home soil at Totara Cemetery, 110 Te Arapipi Road, Thames sometime around 2pm.

May she now sing joyfully in the heavenly choir, and may the Lord comfort all who mourn her. E te whaea e Gloria haere atu ra ki o matua tupuna, moe mai takoto mai i raro i te korowai aroha o te Atua.

Following the service, a burial will take place at

Totara Cemetery, 110 Te Arapipi Road, Thames, at approximately 2:00pm.
