Dianne Agnes McKenzie

McKENZIE, Dianne Agnes (Di).  

Born 20 February 1951, passed away surrounded by loved ones on 3 October 2025, aged 74.  

Much-loved mother of Jenna and Fritha; adored Nanna of Skylar; cherished sister of John and Nora; beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews; and treasured friend to many.  

Di had a long and respected career in early childhood education. She was a champion of social justice, advocacy and inclusion for all. Kind, generous and dedicated, she provided wise counsel to many.  

Kua hinga te totara i Te Waonui a Tane – a totara has fallen in the great forest of Tane. 

You will be fondly remembered for the light and laughter you shared, your irrepressible joie de vivre, and your unmatched moves on the dance floor. Words cannot convey how deeply loved and respected you are by so many.  

A service to celebrate and farewell Di will be held at Romaleigh Chapel, 31 Ocean View Road, Northcote on Saturday 11 October 2025 at 3.30pm.
