Margaret Broad

BROAD, Margaret Ferguson, née HUNTER 

Passed away peacefully on Saturday 8 June 2024 at North Shore Hospital, in her 100th year. 

Beloved wife of the late Dr Jon Broad and loved mother of the late Philippa Broad, both of whom were killed on Mt Erebus; devoted mother of Duncan, and second-mother to Stephanie; dearest sister-in-law of Philippa Lewis (Tauranga); and greatly loved and respected aunt and great-aunt to her many nieces and nephews. 

Grateful thanks to the staff of Northbridge Retirement Village, especially those in the Memory Care Unit. In lieu of flowers, donations to Harbour Hospice would be appreciated.  

To the Miller family, Barbara and Sarah – Margaret’s relatives are so grateful for your support and love shown to her over many years.  

A service for Margaret will be held at Romaleigh Chapel, 31 Ocean View Rd, Northcote on Tuesday 18 June 2024 at 11am.
