FLOWER, Kathleen Marie (formerly LAURIE, nee MOORE)

20 June 1939 – 17 October 2023

In the early hours of Tuesday morning our beloved Mum, Sister, Nana and Aunty Kath died suddenly at North Shore Hospital. The precious Irish Matriarch impacted positively on the lives of all her wider family, and also as a very loved primary school teacher in the Birkdale, Birkenhead and Albany areas over many years.

A women of indomitable spirit, Kathy faced many challenges throughout her life yet still joyfully blessed the world with her intelligence, compassion, empathy, creative talents, sense of community, love of the natural world and her deep Christian faith.

With the deepest of love from her children, Marie Mitchell, Keith Laurie, and her little boy Mark who died so long ago; her beloved grandchildren Taylor and Jeremy Mitchell, Alexander, Cassidy and Sophia Laurie; her in-law children, Ian, Lizzie and Esther; her cherished siblings, Helen Brown, Steve Moore, and the late Bob Moore; the Moore and Brown families locally, and her wider family in Northern Ireland and England.

In lieu of flowers donations to St John New Zealand would be truly appreciated.

A service for Kathy will be held at Romaleigh Chapel, 31 Ocean View Rd, Northcote on Wednesday 25 October 2023 at 1pm.
