James McLoughlin

Originally from Chester-Le-Street, County Durham, Jim passed peacefully but unexpectedly away at North Shore Hospital, after a short illness.

Adored husband of Pam for 65 years, beloved father and father-in-law to Steve and Nicola, Janice and Jan, and Paula and Nick.

Witty and wise Grandad to Steven, Carolyn, Leanne, James, Hannah, Sarah, Emma, Lauren and Amy and their partners and proud Opa to 20 great-grandchildren, to who he has been an astronaut, cowboy, pilot, magician and football pundit.

Respected brother and uncle to Margaret, John, Maureen, Peter and Moira and their families. Careful keeper of long-standing friendships.

A humorous, proud, pragmatic and gentle man, he enriched the lives of everyone he met and will be very sadly missed. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at H.Morris Funeral Services, 31 Ocean View Road, Northcote on 21 October at 2 p.m
