Williams, Barbara Gaye (Gaye) 

Passed away 20 June 2025 at Harbour Hospice. 

Loving wife of John, devoted mother of Shane, Lee and Todd, Laurie and Wendy, nana to Keith, Dana, Teryl, Jesse, Isaac, Shiloh and Jack, and great nana extraordinaire. 

Gaye’s family acknowledge the kindness of Harbour Hospice and encourage donations to support their wonderful work. 

A private cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1pm Friday 4 July at the Romaleigh Chapel, 31 Ocean View Road, Northcote, Auckland. 

This legendary tennis player will be missed by many.
